Group Life Assurance Scheme
6 months free cover for new members.
Any member of POA who has recently joined the Prison Service, Private Sector or Secure Psychiatric workplaces can be covered by the scheme, without evidence of health or COVID 19 questions. They will pay nothing for their first six months of cover, provided they apply for cover within three months of joining their workplace.
Existing members of the POA (aged under 65) may join the scheme, without evidence of health or COVID 19 questions, subject to confirmation that they are actively in work, in their normal occupation and number of contracted hours, have not been medically advised against working and have not been absent from work due to ill health or injury in the 8 weeks preceding the application.
