As you are aware we were contacted by Anya Frude who is a Forensic Psychology doctoral researcher at the University of Birmingham. She has asked for our assistance with her research on whether you feel you matter as prison officer grades. So far there has been a good response to the survey, however it would be good if we could improve the numbers who have taken part so far.
Therefore, can I ask you to please pass this to all our members again asking them to take part in this vital study which will help both Anya and the POA to use the data and information to assist in making improvements for all members in the way your employer views you.
This research has some potentially important implications for practice and research. As such, we would welcome your contribution to this study, consisting of an online survey, expected to take between 20-30 minutes of your time.
We hope you will consider participating in this study. Please click on the link below to find out more about the study, and to participate if you wish to do so:

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about this study, they would be happy to speak with you. You can contact the primary researchers, Anya Frude and Dr Caroline Oliver, at axf103@student.bham.ac.uk and c.j.oliver@bham.ac.uk.
Colleagues, it is vital we take part in this very important study.
Yours sincerely
