CIRC 081: JOIN ONLINE SYSTEM FOR NEW MEMBERS

As you will be aware the POA have been working on evolving our Information Technology systems and the corporate image of the POA. We have launched a new website which improves the experience for our members, and we have now launched a new membership system that allows us more flexibility. During the Cuffe review POA members wanted new and improved IT systems. We listened to our members, and we have acted. Moving forward the POA will continue to improve all forms of communication. Our new improved website has been modernised and will continue to be modernised. The NEC have also took part in podcasts which have featured important topics and short videos on a regular basis and they can be viewed on social media platforms and our new POA website.

As part of our continuing improvement program, we have now moved to a Join Online system for new members which has proved popular since becoming operational. New members will now have the option of completing the Application Form online or can complete the paper forms as is currently the case. This improves the joining process, and in most cases, our new members can be fully signed up within 24-36 hours of completing the Join Online process.

Within the next couple of weeks, we will be rolling out membership self service to our Branch Secretaries and Branch members.  This will allow our members to have access to their own details.
