SCOTLAND: RE POA SCOTLAND – CHARITY RAFFLE

We are delighted to tell you that the charity raffle organised for this year’s Scottish conference, raised a fantastic total of £4,387. Your kind generosity far exceeded our expectations.

All the funds raised will go to the Trussell Trust who work across the UK with local foodbanks to provide food to those in need.  They also provide funds for equipment, training and rent to allow foodbanks to reach as many people as they can.  They also campaign for change with governments and policy makers to work towards a future where our communities don’t need foodbanks and people have enough to cover the essentials for their families.  Your generous donation will be distributed across the various projects the Trussell Trust support in Scotland.

This year we asked our delegates and guests to bring a food donation to give to the local foodbank in Peebles.  We are proud to say that the response was overwhelming, and we managed to give over half a tonne of provisions to them. They were delighted with the kind donations and have asked us to pass on their sincere thanks.

Once again, thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and contributed to this fantastic cause.

Regards

On behalf of POA Scotland
