CIRC 026: THE MARTYRS OF TOLPUDDLE FESTIVAL 14TH – 16TH JULY 2023 “FREEDOM HIKE” 2023

The membership will be aware that the Tolpuddle Festival will take place on the 14th – 16th July 2023 and information can be obtained from the following website: www.tolpuddlemartyrs.org.uk

The POA have agreed once again to organise a “Freedom Hike” from the closed Dorchester Prison to the Tolpuddle Museum on Saturday 15th July 2023.  This will cover a distance of approximately 8 miles and will follow the route taken by the Martyrs in 1834, following their arrest.

All members wishing to take part in this memorable walk should meet at the statues near the museum at 09:30hrs on Saturday 20th July 2023. Transport will be available.

Expressions of interest in regard to camping should be forwarded to Cronin House c/o Angela Sinclair & Dave Todd – asone@poauk.org.uk and dave.todd@poauk.org.uk  no later than 12noon Friday 30th June 2023.

More information is available on the website to distribute to as many members, friends, and families as possible, to attend this great festival of unity and solidarity.

We ask that you make this a successful trade union and POA event.

Yours sincerely

DAVE TODD
National Vice Chair
