CIRC 001: RULES AND CONSTITUTION 2022

Conference Paper 1 was circulated prior to Annual Conference 2022. The paper was a substantial paper that amended the Rules and Constitution to make sure they were brought up to date and made alterations as well to the way in which we now conduct investigations under our Rules to ensure that we comply with GDPR during those proceedings.

The Conference Paper 1 was accepted in its entirety with a two thirds majority for those changes to take place. The new Rules and Constitution were updated after Conference with the amendments and changes inserted from Conference Paper 1 into the Rules and Constitution document which were then sent out to all branches and subsequently placed on our website.

Due to an administrative error a change from the Conference Paper 1 that was voted on at Conference was not transcribed to the Rules and Constitution. Please find enclosed the updated constitution which has now rectified this oversight and the Rule has now been reflected as per Conference Paper 1 and should read Rule 29.3 (e) provide copies of its report to the member who is subject to the complaint, and the Deputy General Secretary.

I apologise for this administrative error, but the mistake has been spotted and now rectified so that we comply fully with Conference instruction and are fully compliant with GDPR and the rationale why that rule was being amended.
