CIC 081: SUPPORTING WOMEN IN THE WORKPLACE WORKSHOP

Please bring the contents of this circular to the attention of your members

 

The above workshop is being held from 29th November to 1st December 2022 at Quorn Grange Hotel, Wood Lane, Quorn, Loughborough.

The aim of the workshop is to establish what difficulties our female members are facing to ensure that we are raising the correct issues with the Department.

Some subjects that will be covered are (the list is not exhaustive)

1. Female uniform
2. Managing the menopause and periods on duty
3. Access to facilities and feminine products
4. Maternity and breast feeding
5. Women and the POA
6. Sexual harassment
7. Reasonable adjustments
8. Work life balance

 

We are also hoping that there will be some guest speakers

The workshop will be residential with registration being 10am to 11 am and finishing at lunchtime on the 3rd day

Facility time has been granted by the department who will also cover travel and subsistence costs

Hotel and meal costs will be met by the POA

20 members (not all branch officials) are needed for the workshop, please complete the attached proforma if you would like to attend and return it to Angela Sinclair (asone@poauk.org.uk) by 28th October 2022
