On Thursday 12th May 2022 at 1100 hours your Union, will be unveiling a new memorial to all ex-forces personnel who were members of the POA who we wish to remember, sited at the National Arboretum.

Though many Local committees will be represented at this event many members and retired members have shown a keen interest and because of the level of interest, the National Executive Committee have taken the decision to Live Stream the unveiling ceremony. This will allow members, retired members, and their families to watch and be part of this event.

To view this event, go to the POA website or the POA Facebook page, both will show this live event. Once concluded, links to the saved video footage, will remain on the POA website and Facebook pages, to enable those who could not watch the event live, to also see the memorial and dedications at a more convenient time for them.

I look forward to seeing those in attendance on the day and hope that this first use of Live Streaming by the POA provides those who could not attend in person a memorable experience.

Yours Sincerely

Joe Simpson
Deputy General Secretary
