As you will be aware over the last 18 months, we have been working on evolving our Information Technology systems and the corporate image of the POA. We have launched a new website which improves the experience for our members, and we have now launched a new membership system that allows us more flexibility. During the Cuffe review POA members wanted new and improved IT systems. We listened to our members and we have acted. Moving forward the POA will continue to improve all forms of communication over the coming months. Our new improved website has been modernised and will continue to be modernised. In the coming months, the NEC will be taking part in podcasts which will feature important topics and short videos will be produced on a regular basis so they can be viewed on social media platforms and our new POA website.

As part of our continuing improvement program, we have now moved to a Join Online system for new members which has proved popular since becoming operational. New members will now have the option of completing the Application Form online or can complete the paper forms as is currently the case. This improves the joining process, and in most cases, our new members can be fully signed up within 24-36 hours of completing the Join Online process.

Within the next couple of weeks, we will be rolling out membership self service to our Branch Secretaries followed shortly thereafter to all our members.  This will allow our members to manage their own profiles and keep up to date with additional member benefits.

Please bring this to the attention of all members. Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely

General Secretary
