CIRC 139: HMPPS STAFF FACE MASK STRATEGY

HMPPS have agreed that if staff choose to wear a face mask whilst on duty, in any area, at any time, they may do so. This will be personal choice and no permission is needed.

We are pleased that the employer has listened to the concerns of frontline staff and continues to work constructively with the POA.

Staff should take note of the enclosed strategy and should note that if they wish to wear a face mask, they will be provided one from the employer. This will be the surgical mask type that is fluid repellent.

Please ensure all POA members take note of this Circular.
