The POA Information Technology advisers are currently in the process of building the new POA Website and Membership Database.

The POA has already adapted to the world of electronic communications. We now need to ensure that we have sound IT infrastructures, which will meet the needs of the Union and the expectations of the members that we serve. To meet this aim, the POA has a strategic policy for ensuring equipment and software is fit for purpose.

It cannot be denied that there is a huge and growing impact of the internet on our social lives and this has been identified within the project. The POA, as with many other organisations do see the value of the internet in extending our influence and advertising our services and benefits.

To assist our advisers in building and ‘improving the look’ of the website the NEC have requested that members consider submitting photographs to for inclusion on the website.

These photographs could be of individuals, groups of staff or pictures of establishments, any format is ok as long as they are high resolution. These can then be used as full pages or smaller images on the site. The Executive request that permission is sought from any member of staff in the photographs before submitting for use.

Yours sincerely

General Secretary
