Our campaign to repeal Section 127 of the Criminal Justice Public Order Act 1994 was launched at the TUC with a motion which was unanimously approved by all trade unions who were present.

The POA welcome the publication of the employment rights bill as a step forward for workers but has said it has done nothing to address the rights of Prison Officers, who have been denied the right to strike since 1994, and denied the right to take any form of industrial action since a permanent injunction was imposed on the POA in 2019.

If you still pay tax, even if it’s just on your pension, there’s a fairly high chance you may have paid too much.

 

The city was awash with colour and noise as the LGBTQ+ community – including POA members – took to the streets for their annual celebration

The atrocities we have recently witnessed in Southport, committed by a 17-year-old ‘child’, should remind us all that – at times of despair and destruction – we need each other for support and should be united in our response.
