Representatives of various legal professional bodies (including the Criminal Bar Association) and trade unions are calling for an immediate review of safety arrangements across the HMCTS estate amidst rising concerns that courts are unsafe and fail to implement measures to ensure that all buildings are Covid-19 secure.

This year has started dramatically with further announcements from the Prime Minister implementing further National lockdowns in England, with the leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland introducing restrictions of a similar nature but I recognise there may be differences in each of the four countries where the POA have membership.
SCOTLAND: ARSON ATTACKS ON STAFF CARS
Following further arson attacks on staff vehicles in establishments, we wanted to ensure that staff were fully sighted on the ongoing work SPS are undertaking both internally and jointly with Police Scotland colleagues, and provide assurance that these matters are being treated with the utmost seriousness.
