MTC are looking to recruit Use of Force (UoF) Instructors to support our operations at Manston, a short-term holding facility for detained persons who have crossed the channel into the UK.

Judicial Review proceedings commenced by six trade unions, relating to changes made by the Government to public sector pensions, will be heard in the High Court on 31^st January 2023, with the trial due to last until Friday 3^rd February.

Due to the development of the POA Website, members can now submit Legal Applications directly to the Legal Department of the POA. This has meant that the Legal Aid Handbooks and the accompanying forms have had to be updated.

In October 2021 HMPPS commenced a pilot in seven establishments for a new First Aid Policy. This pilot is now complete, and despite the Executive’s best endeavors, no policy has been implemented.
