Our members need to pick up the slack of a failing private contractor, it’s not acceptable and things must improve.

 

The country must be heading for a general election soon as the political rhetoric is being ramped up.

 

As we take stock of the recent pay award that is yet again delayed, it has not been missed by anyone that closed grades are rightly angered and bitter about the employer’s recommendation – supported by the Pay Review Body and agreed by the Government– that they will not receive any award now or in the future.

 

The Rules and Constitution are clear that under Rule 5, we will have a retired members section and that qualification for retired membership is having been a full member until ceasing qualification for full membership under Rule 4.1.
