The POA are proud to be a signatory to an open letter to the Prime Minister, calling for him to take a different path to achieve race equality at work and in the labour market to that recommended in the report from the Commission on Racial and Ethnic Disparities. 

Every year more people are killed at work than in wars. Most don’t die of mystery ailments or in tragic “accidents”. They die because their employer decided that their safety was not that important a priority.

The POA for a number of years in partnership with the Fire Fighters Charity and funded by the POA Welfare fund have successfully sent many POA members to the rehabilitation centres in order to assist members offering physical and psychological health and wellbeing sessions.
