Listed below is the timetable and procedure for the forthcoming election for two National Executive Committee members.

The current position of the General Secretary expires in May 2025 after Annual Conference.

As you are aware the NEC are committed to the continued training and development of local Branch Officials.

The POA aims to provide learning opportunities for members. The POA ensures that its work in engaging staff in life-long learning is exemplary.

I am sure you are all aware of the leaks at the weekend in the media regarding the pay review bodies for Education and NHS workers and the speculation around what has been recommended for those workers.

On 7 April 2022 the Court of Appeal refused the POA permission to appeal against a judgment dismissing a judicial review application.

It is with great sadness we report to the membership the death of Honorary Life Member David Evans, who passed away on Saturday 6 July following a short illness.
