POA Circulars

As you are aware the POA in the past have put out guidance surrounding the use of social media.

Following POA Conference’s adoption of a report from Mr Pat Cuffe, the POA NEC were directed to improve communications with members.

New rules came into force on 31st May with the supposed aim of tackling a ‘whiplash’ culture, making it much more difficult for many road traffic accident (RTA) victims to get free legal support, but POA members and their families will continue to be able to access legal help.

Please bring the contents of this circular to the attention of all POA members.

Following the adoption of the above motion, members may apply for 10, 15 and 20-years membership badges providing the criteria is met as set out on the attached pro-forma.

The POA as part of its modernisation process after the Cuffe report was accepted by conference has acted to improve all aspects of our communication with our membership.

The National Executive Committee have been involved in discussions for some time now about the new Footwear provided by Cooneen.

The POA recently conducted a pay ballot for Mitie Care & Custody ICE & OCC staff that are part of the bargaining unit under the POA/Mitie Care & Custody recognition agreement.
