Please find attached NEC minutes for 13th October 2021 for your information.

Please ensure all POA members have access to this update.

The POA National Executive Committee have determined that we will set up a Security, Order, Counter Terrorism (SOCT) consultative committee. There have been a number of roles introduced under SOCT within HMPPS where POA members are sited outside of their home establishments, and they are carrying out new roles.

The POA has a proud history of recognising the hard work and dedication of members.  

The Annual Conference for 2022 is scheduled to be held on the above dates at the WELCOME BUILDING, EASTBOURNE and will be FIVE days duration.

The National Executive Committee have finalised a comprehensive agenda that will be given on the above date.

As part of our continuing IT improvement programme, the telephone landlines at Cronin House will be switching over to Microsoft Teams at 11.00hrs on Wednesday 6th October 2021.

As you are aware the POA have been making a concerted effort to improve communications with members.

Further to POA Circular 077/2021 regarding the Information Meeting at the Central Westminster Hall, the NEC have agreed that the following timings will be put in place.
