The People's Assembly is a national campaign against austerity, the 1% pay cap, privatisation and is in support of properly funded public, community and welfare services. The campaign is linked to no political party and is supported by trade unions, students and pensioner organisations, as well as many others.

On Saturday 1st July 2017, the People's Assembly has organised a March and Rally under the heading of:

Not One Day More #ToriesOut National Demonstration

National Executive Committee members and Officials will be joining this day of action, to show Government our support for this campaign and to call for an end to the 1% pay cap forced on Prison and NHS members alike, also for proper funding of these vital public services.

The National Executive Committee ask all POA members to come along to this event and help show Government that enough is enough and to support hard working staff in all our public services.

The assembly point for the March is outside BBC Broadcasting House, Portland Place at 12pm. The nearest tubes stations are:- Oxford Circus, Regents Park and Great Portland Street. The March will proceed to Parliament Square for a demonstration and rally.

The NEC hope to see as many members as possible at this event, to help send a clear message and show the strength and unity of POA members.

Can I take this opportunity to thank all members for your help in this and other events the Union participates in so successfully.

Yours sincerely

General Secretary
