You will be aware that NOMS, along with all other Government departments and the private sector, have been the subject of a review by HMRC in respect of the payment and reimbursement of travel and subsistence and other tax issues during the past twelve months.
Further to Branch Secretary Circular 43/2011.
Please find enclosed Agenda regarding the above.
This circular is to advise the membership that due to an increase in the Civil Service standard mileage rates and in accordance with the above Rule, with effect from 1st January 2012 the POA will increase its business travel mileage rate from 40p to 45p per mile.
Please note the postcode for St Edmunds Church, Tuxford Road, Walesby, Nottinghamshire is NG22 9NY and not DN22 9NY as stated in POA Circular 175/2011 dated 20th December 2011.
The POA along with other Public Sector Unions have been in detailed discussions with Cabinet Office officials regarding pensions within the Civil Service Pension Scheme.
It is with a great deal of sadness that we report to the membership the sudden death of our Honorary Life Member, Cronin Clasp holder and good friend Steve Oxby, who sadly passed away in the early hours of Sunday 18th December 2011.
