The National Executive Committee are aware that NOMS has published this information on the intranet, but we felt that we needed to reinforce the message to ensure members are not disadvantaged when submitting applications for ill-health retirement.

New versions of some Ill Health Retirement forms are now on the Civil Service Pensions website.

Older version application forms (for example, IHR 1 and APP1) will now be declined.

Line Managers and employees should refer to the available forms on the Civil Service Pensions website to avoid any unnecessary delays or inconvenience.

The appointed Scheme Medical Adviser of the Civil Service Pension Scheme contract transfers to Health Management Ltd from Health Assured Ltd from 1st July 2017.

Please draw the contents of this Circular to your members and seek confirmation from your Governor that they have taken the appropriate steps to ensure all Line Managers are aware of the change.
