TUC March and Rally "Britain needs a pay rise" 18th October 2014

Members may be aware that the theme of this year’s Trades Union Congress was “Britain Needs a pay rise”. The theme was chosen to show the importance of this campaign by the TUC General Council. The POA and sister unions hope to make the demonstration on October 18th, a massive show of our strength to all political parties in the run up to a General Election that working people in this country need a pay rise which reflects the cost of living.

The march will assemble on the Blackfriars end of Victoria Embankment on the north bank of the Thames from 11am on 18th October 2014 the POA will be in Zone 5 with our colleagues from PCS.

The march will go along Embankment to Northumberland Avenue, across Trafalgar Square, along Regent Street to Piccadilly Circus, and then along Piccadilly to Hyde Park Corner, where it will enter the park. The rally in Hyde Park will start as the march reaches the stage.

Once again the National Executive looks forward to seeing as many POA members with their friends and family as possible on the day.

Please bring this circular to the attention of all members.

Thanking you in anticipation of your support and co-operation.

Yours sincerely
