Unsocial Hours

It has been brought to the attention of the Executive that new and or existing profiles now include unsocial hours, which are at the maximum of the 20-30% or actually exceed the guidelines from NOMS.

The Executive raised this issue with the Prison Service Pay Review Body during our oral evidence session on the 13th December 2012. The Prison Service Pay Review Body (PSPRB) requested evidence to support our assertions.

Therefore, can you please forward copies of any shift pattern which provides unsocial hours at the top end of the 20-30% or in fact exceeds this guideline.

All returns should be emailed to Steve Lewis at research@poauk.org.uk by Friday 4th January 2013, so that the Executive can provide supplementary evidence for the purposes of pay 2013/14.
