Vice Chair Election 2013

With regards to the above election, it has been brought to my attention by Rampton branch that ballot papers had not been received by 22nd November 2012.

After further investigation with Electoral Reform Services it would appear there has been an administrative error with the data sent to ERS from our membership files which excluded Ashworth, Broadmoor and Rampton.

In order to comply with legislation to ensure every member has a reasonable opportunity to cast their vote, remedial action has been taken and the ballot has been extended until noon on the 17th December 2012.

All candidates have been informed of the administrative error and by extending the ballot until the 17th December 2012, I am confident this ensures the integrity of the ballot and is fair to all candidates and members voting in the election process.

There are no other branches affected by the data file error apart from the three branches named within this Circular. Please bring this Circular to the attention of the membership.
