Pension Campaign

In the on-going campaign of “68 is too late” the NEC ask that all branch committees mount local campaigns.

Please find attached a briefing paper and a list of MPs with prisons in their constituencies.

We would ask branch committees to contact their MP and ask to meet to discuss the concerns of our members. Pass the briefing paper to local press and media and conduct interviews with them to highlight the problems faced by our members having to retire at 68.

The NEC would encourage POA members to contact their MP’s so they can address their concerns. POA members can find the details of their constituent MPs at www.theyworkforyou.com.

The second reading of the Pension’s Bill went through Parliament on 30th October 2012. It is imperative we get our message of “68 is too late” to every MP, to further our campaign and influence a better deal for POA members.

Yours sincerely
