PRINCIPAL CIVIL SERVICE PENSION SCHEME BALLOT UPDATE

The pensions ballot was due to end on the 3rd August 2012. Whilst the majority of establishments had received ballot papers where members had elected to have them sent instead of their home addresses, it has become apparent that some establishments have had a significant delay in receiving ballot papers.

The Executive have therefore determined that the ballot will now close on Monday 20th August 2012. This is a significant extension to the ballot period to ensure that no member is disadvantaged.

Once again members who are eligible to vote in the Civil Service pension scheme are urged to do so. With the ballot now closing on the 20th August 2012 this further enables branch officials to hold further meetings to discuss the final offer and encourage every member to vote.
