Workplace ballot: Civil Service Compensation Scheme

A membership ballot is being held with a National Executive Committee recommendation of rejecting cuts to redundancy pay as per Executive decision on 24th November 2010.

The Ballot will commence from 07.45hrs Monday 13th December 2010 until 17.00hrs Thursday 13th January 2011 with the Scrutineers count on Monday 17th January 2011.  The Executive have extended the ballot to ensure that every member gets the chance to vote in line with Rule 24.5.

This is a consultative ballot, not a ballot for industrial action.  Information should be made available to all members from Tuesday 7th December 2010, prior to the ballot commencing.  Members are urged to vote YES if they agree that the Coalition Government proposals on the Civil Service Compensation Scheme should be rejected.

Facility Time in order to conduct the ballot has been applied for with Employee Relations in the normal manner.

Yours sincerely
