FREE BASIC ON LINE WILL SERVICE

The NEC and Thompsons have been working with BBH to develop an online Will service for the POA. BBH are part of Thompsons and provide Wills, Probate and Conveyancing services to members at discounted rates.

It is widely accepted that most people fail to complete a Will and as a result, problems often occur in settling their affairs.

One of the benefits of being a member of the POA is having the right to a free basic Will. You can now complete your Will, using the following weblink for the online Wills system;

https://wills.bbhlegal.co.uk/kbxhtml/KBXWEB.aspx?ST=THWS&SC=Start&KBXP1=PB&KBXP2=PO

In order to access the link please visit the POA website members section and follow the link to the above weblink where you simply click and commence the process.

Members first need to register and set up a username and password.

Once that is complete, you can then start the process in very much the same way as you would complete the paper forms. It is straightforward. Once you have completed all the fields, the Will can be immediately printed out with instructions for signing. The process therefore is speeded up considerably with much reduced waiting times.

If there is anything complicated or unusual about your Will, the free online system will stop and arrangements will automatically take effect for a representative at BBH to make contact with you and to complete the Will after taking further instructions and advising you of any potential costs you will/may be required to pay.

The more complex Wills involve such things as Life Interests, Discretionary Trusts, Care Fee Protection, Vulnerable Beneficiaries, Business or Foreign Assets etc, and each has a different fee attached ranging from approx. £200 - £550 for a single person and approx. £300 - £850 for married couples.

The weblink also directs members/you to explanation sheets and Terms of Business.

Please draw the contents of this circular to all members.

Thanking you in anticipation of your support and co-operation

Yours sincerely
